The Indian couture Week 2017 is a seven days event being held in Delhi. Here are some important highlights from Day 5. The event started with Monisha Jaising, who is a master of glamorous and attractive garments. She showcased her collection titled ‘Opera’ at The Taj Palace in New Delhi.
Models were wearing chiseled gowns, saris with corner curves, fabricated and silver diggings, lehengas of Benarasi brocade touch. Some of them were being presented in flawless maxi gowns with chic and floral prints which were giving them graceful yet glow-boosting look.
Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra acted as an afflatus for the designer as she made Shilpa Shetty her showstopper. She overwhelmed the stage by her mesmerizing walk and style. She was dressed in a red Benarasi brocade outfit having gold zari work. Although her walk was interrupted multiple times as the garment was getting stuck again and again. But yet she walked in an immense grace and elegance.
During her interaction with the media, she said that “the ramp had some nails and that is why I was getting stuck, but these things are common”. This 42-year old B-town star expressed her views about designer Monisha Jaising by saying that it is really tough to explore for a singular piece that looks so stunning.
The day event ended by Couturier Varun Bahl who is popularly known for his remarkable and innovating ideas from the Art Nouveau period to create his floral designs for the Indian Couture Week 2017 collection titled “Dream Nouveau”.
He showcased his craftsmanship with a blend of floral embroideries using needlework on cotton, silk, georgette, chiffon clothes. The designs were masterpieces by hemlines, deep necks, asymmetrical curves. The costumes displaced were Anarkali jackets, saris, lehengas in ivory, pistachio, red, orange, peach, baby pink and other attractive ravishing colors spreading glitters and glamor.
