Jadhav row: Indian-Americans says ‘Chappal Chor Pakistan’ in US

Washington DC(US): A strong protest was shown in front of Pakistan Embassy by a group of INDIAN-AMERICANS & BALOCHS which was against the misbehavior meted out to former Indian Naval Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav‘s mother and wife. The protest was named as Chappal Chor Pakistan.
The protestors donated used shoes to Pakistani embassy stated that ‘protest is in solidarity with Jadhav’s family’. Commenting on this one of the protestors sated, “When they stole the chappal of a woman (Jadhav’s wife) who was in distress, I hope they can use these also.”
Another protester from the group of Indian-American group claimed that it shows narrow-mindedness of Pakistan from the way it treated Jadhav’s family.
This Chappal Chor Pakistan protest was against the backdrop of the meeting that took place between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his family on 25th of December in Islamabad, on the request of the Indian government. Jadhav’s wife was asked to remove her footwear and replace with new when she went to meet her husband in foreign office.
Pakistan’s official claims that there was “something” in it & her shows was replaced on security grounds. Kulbhushan Jadhav is on a death row in Pakistan over charges of terrorism and spying for India’s intelligence agency- Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
